From major concerts to alternative spring break trips abroad, Student Life makes your university experience enjoyable and enriches your education beyond the classroom.
The purpose of Student Life is to:
- Foster the development of students beyond the classroom,
- Build community on campus,
- Encourage involvement in student life,
- Meet the daily needs of students through the provision of services and facilities,
- Advocate the needs of students to campus leaders,
- Foster student pride and affiliation with UCSD,
- Assist the university in its efforts to recruit and retain students.

- Associated Students Administration - Advises and supports the AS, the undergraduate student government. Check out the enterprises of AS, including Soft Reserves, Lecture Notes, and the Grove Cafe.
- Crafts Center - One of the largest centers of its kind on a university campus, the Crafts Center offers a variety of fun, non-credit classes in crafts ranging from ceramics and glass blowing to jewelry making and neon fabrication.
- Express to Success Programs - Check out the various programs offered by the UCSD Express to Success Programs (ETS). All seminars and workshops are designed to help students strengthen their public speaking, interpersonal communication, and leadership skills. Opportunities are available for all UCSD students of various skill levels. A certificate is awarded to each student that successfully completes any of the ETS programs.
- Student Life Business Office - Supports student organizations, AS, and GSA with their financial expenditures related to their events and activities.
- Center for Student Involvement - Assists students in forming student organizations. Advises more than 400 student organizations on campus and assists students with involvement in community service projects. Check out the on-line directory of student organizations.
- University Centers - Includes the Price Center and Student Center, which offer restaurants, retail services, student lounges, and meeting and event space for student organizations. Check out the Pub After Dark concert series and the Price Center film series.
- University Events Office - Brings nationally and internationally recognized performing and concert artists to campus. Check out the amazing ArtPower performing arts series.
